Green Future fun at Night at the Museum Event
Green future fun at Night at the Museum Event
A successful Night at the Museum event was held at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum this half term, promoting a greener future.
The event celebrates the brains behind pioneering inventions and innovations which have links to Rugby, from Sir Frank Whittle's work on the world's first jet engine to Dennis Gabor's development of holographic theory.
One highlight was the Green Futures lab - with experts from Discover Materials revealing how materials science and engineering can help combat climate change.
Once inside the lab, visitors discovered how the sustainability and performance of everyday objects can be improved by developing new materials and processing methods, while finding out how to play a part in building a greener future.
This event forms part of Rugby Borough Council's climate engagement work and follows on the Gallery's Fire and Ice exhibition launched in September. Interested in climate action? Then come along to Rugby Climate Adaptation World Cafe event on 9 November.
