Picturing Rugby explores the town's history, as seen through the eyes of talented artists. This exhibition showcases a collection of paintings, etchings, and sketches.

Step back in time with Joseph Pike (1883-1956), a renowned commercial artist who captured the essence of the town in a bygone era. See iconic landmarks like Rugby School and St Andrews Church alongside vanished buildings like Trinity Church and high street shops. These sketches serve as a portal to a different chapter in Rugby's story.

Journey through the recent past with Eddie Scott-Jones, another commercial artist who studied art at Liverpool College of Art and served in the RAF with Bombner command. His work, created in the late 1970s and early 1980s, brings the bustling streets of Rugby to life. See familiar scenes like North Street and Regent Street alongside the ever-evolving landscape of the town.

The intricate etchings of Gertrude Hayes and Edwin Betts, both Rugby Scholars, meticulously capture the architectural details of Rugby school and surrounding areas.
